TRE® stands for Tension & Trauma releasing exercises. This method recognizes that, apart from being a psychological phenomenon, stress has a certain physical effect and forms patterns of tension within the body. TRE® is an innovative series of exercises that help in releasing these deep muscular patterns of tension and stress stored in the body. These exercises activate the innate mechanism of muscular shaking or vibrating that helps to release tension from the body and calm the nervous system.
That is why after doingTRE® you may notice that you feel calmer, less reactive to stress and enjoying the feeling of peace and relaxation.
TRE® can be used as an excellent stress management tool and has the potential of reversing the effects of prolonged stress or even trauma and restoring the balance within the body and mind.
‘I tried TRE® in March 2020 with Svetlana at a joint TRE® and drumming session at the lovely SPACE2BE in Singapore. I came to the session a little nervous as it was my first TRE® since having my children and moving my life from the UK to Singapore. I remember TRE® as the most powerful modality I have ever tried, and my very first sessions literally changed my life back in 2016. So in a way, I should have been super excited to get started doing TRE®, but like most of us, once we feel content why rock the boat? : ) well let’s say I WAS content. But the last 6-12 months I have been feeling very far from my intuitive self, purely because of becoming a mom again and dealing with the day-to-day needs of my family. There’s been further and further time in between my self-care. Something I am sad about as I know this is the only thing that keeps me living authentically. BUT life is like this at times, so booking the TRE® with Svetlana was the first step back to my own self-healing and it was AMAZING. the tremoring combined with the drumming was a fantastic added element. I love, love TRE® and Svetlana is so lovely, calm and gentle and was great at guiding us (I tried a group session) through the exercises and the sensations we might or might not be experiencing.
